OVARIES

Ovaries is a self documentative and self explorative work that combines two mediums with two distinct narratives that connect to a single story. A book called Ovaries: A Month of Personal Data Collection and a short film called In Flux take a deep dive into the life of an indivudual living with
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom (PCOS). PCOS affects up to 12% of the us population with no cure. Ovaries intent is to both empower those with PCOS as well as educate the public whom may have little to no knowledge of this condition as a whole.

OVARIES: A MONTH OF PERSONAL DATA VISUALIZATION

Ovaries: A Month of Personal Data Visualization is a book of data regaurding life centered around myself and explores daily life living with Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. Over the course of a month I spent
the time recording and collecting data on different aspects of my life
regarding PCOS and all the different elements that it can affect. All the data that I collected was hand rendered into visual data that can be decoded and digested by those who pick up the book regardless of their prior knowledge.

IN FLUX: A SHORT FILM

In Flux is the second narrative explored within this over arching theme of PCOS. Here I played with captured footage and desgined the video stylistically to portray the idea of the body, much like nature, being
constantly in a state of flux. Always ever changing with the seasons or environmental factors. Even if a flower is dead, it has a beauty to it. This piece acts as a reminder of the beauty of the body even with PCOS.
